Why hello again. I also delve into the world of graphic design...
I Do Design.
Motion graphics and animation depend on the same rules as graphic design. Throughout the last few years Ive made a concerted effort to improve my skills in this area, and in softwares such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
Creating designs like these teaches you form and structure and above all, to keep the design simple, get as much information over with the fewest elements possible...and make it look pretty!
We all know the importance of practicing, it hones our skills and helps our creative flow, similar to how one would learn the guitar, practice makes perfect!
Here are a few exaples of me doing graphical 'scales'!
Whilst experimenting with stop-motion animation a few years back, I bought a Canon 60D DSLR.
I began learning how to compose and structure images, as well as how to use all the various camera functions to their best.
I love photography now, Im so very glad I have the chance to do it. Capturing a moment in time that no one else may have seen is what drives me to take pictures.
Here are a fewsnaps I took whist on a trip to Goa, India, and a few others from a projection mapping project I did. (Plus a selfie!....oh dear)....
Preparation work is the most important work.
Im the first to admit my drawing is not up to a high standard, but it is something Im having fun working on.
I find sketching out very rough ideas and storyboards extremely helpful in the creative process.
They give me a guide to work from, a map of how I should proceed. Often they help me realise Im barking up the wrong tree and thus create much better treatments.
Here are a few sketches from my recent projects...
